REFUGEES
You see them on the news:
the refugees.
the refugees.
Walking, stumbling,
living in camps.

No water,
no toilets,
no food.

What would I take in my bundle?
BLOOD RED SKY
On a blood red morning
I sat on a two lane,
three numbered road
watching a freight go by.
I thought about jumping
on that train and just
going far away from
that blood red sky.
